Time needed:About 2 ½ to 3 hours
We leave at the bikecenter at 09:30 am and leave Corralejo towards the south. Right after town we get on a dirt track that brings us alongside to the mainroad to Tamaragua, leading through the socalled 'Malpais', the bad land, a lava field created by a chain of 40 000 years old volcanoes. Shortly after Tamaragua we turn east towards the Sand Dunes.
We pass an old goat farm near the development 'Los Risquetes', where we admire the great view over the sanddunes and Corralejo while heading to the southern end of the Natural Park, where a former Coral Reef was lifted up by the volcanoes. We leave the Mountainbikes behind an old, broken bridge and take a short walk to have a closer look at the 'barrancos'.
After our little walk we drive on an old donkey - cart path, that is very bumpy, to the East Coast and make our way back to Corralejo on the main road through the big Sand Dunes.
